Are We Ready to face CLIMATE CHANGE?

Footprints of ongoing catastrophe. An illness of the Earth. A threat to every humans-. And that’s the face of the rising Climate Change; the question is, are we ready to face it?

Scientifically, climate change is the dramatic change in the average weather experienced by a given region. This dilemma gets more serious and increases its rate and magnitude as the years goes by. As a result we are going through intense heat (that seems to burn our skin), abnormal weather, tragic disasters and making ourselves trapped in a pressure cooker.
Who are to blame? Simply, it’s us. We, humans are the reason for this existence. Human activities thrust mother earth in the midst of fatality. Due to the increasing population the demand for food, livestock and energy is escalating. To attain this burning of fossil fuels like charcoals and natural gas is used to generate electricity for factories, homes and cars. In 2005, burning fossil fuels emitted about 27 billion tons of carbon dioxide. Imagine.

To expand the fields where to plant crops as a way of living. And to conduct land conversion for commercial purposes. Forests have been cut down. Slash log here. Slash log there. The green purple headed mountains are gone. Trees are getting fewer, so the carbon dioxide builds up in the atmosphere.

Not just that, the satisfaction feeling we get from air conditioner, the refrigerant in our refrigerator, propellants in aerosol cans and in the manufacture of foam packaging are to be consider as the silent killers. Out of their expediency, they emit a class of synthetic chemicals called chlorofluorocarbons or as popularly known as CFCs. They drift up slowly in the stratosphere, thereby destroying the ozone layer which protects humans from the Sun’s harmful UV rays (Ultraviolet Rays). So, we don’t wonder why in some places in the world forest fire usually occurs.
Fusing all this human actions will cause the drastic destruction of Mother Earth. Causing all the wounds to get more chronic. And over the past years catastrophes continues to invade the world.
Flashfloods. Sea level Rise. Drought. Typhoons. Ice Depletion. Polar Bear Extinction. Endangered Human and Animal Life.- Consequences that we are about to take as we cross the line where obliteration of the Earth is rampant.

Are we not afraid to loss it? To loss everything, just because of this mistake? How about the children of the next generation. Can they still live normally as our ancestors do?
Dealing with climate change must go beyond the government level. Individuals should be made to realize that they need to get involved too. As a steward of God’s creation, we must do our job.
Eradicating those erroneous measures, learning to plant the seed of discipline and harmony between human and the environment are the hallmark and the long lost remedy for this illnes. The remedy against climate change.

The end is near if we don’t start now. Wake up from this total nightmare. Who will then come to the rescue and save the earth? Open our eyes and believe that we can still do something. And believe that we can beat this. And trust that someday, we are the end of Climate Change.
